Alpine Skiing

   Alpine Skiing got it’s name from European Alps. Alpine skiers uses fixed heel bindings in contrast to Nordic Skiers. Alpine skiing encompasses downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom and combined racing disciplines. The major difference between the Nordic and the Alpine discipline is Nordic skiing take place on the steppes where the Alpine skiing take place on the slopes.

   Till to this chapter we  have presented a morphological overview of skiing. As I said earlier in this study we focus on Alpine skiing, so further on we will name it as skiing but you should know that we are talking about Alpine skiing.
